When should you carry out a roof inspection?

Before You Buy a Property:

It’s essential to look for any potential issues that might influence your purchase decision or negotiations.

Ongoing Upkeep:

Regular inspections can help keep the roof in top shape, ideally once a year or after severe weather.

After a Storm:

If there have been major weather events or situations that could jeopardize the roof’s stability, it’s crucial to assess the damage promptly.

TYPES OF SURVEY WE OFFER:

DRONE SURVEY:

Drone roof inspections involve using a camera-equipped drone to conduct aerial surveys of your roof. The drone hovers just above the surface, capturing detailed images at regular intervals across the entire area. These photos provide a comprehensive view of all roof components, including hips, gulleys, and chimney areas. This type of survey is cost effecient and regulary chosen if access to the roof is limited.

The footage is downloaded, inspected and then a detailed evaluation based on the results is put together showing the effected areas and the solutions to any works that are required.

This type of survey is offered on any residential or commercial building.

RESIDENTIAL SURVEY:

Our roof inspections encompass an evaluation of several key elements: the roof covering—including tiles, slate, asbestos—assessing its condition, identifying defects, estimating its lifespan, exploring replacement choices, and considering your budget. We also examine skylights for potential leaks and assess the installation of solar panels. Additionally, we review chimney flashings, pointing, loose pots, and brickwork. Insulation, underlays, and sarking felts are also part of our assessment, along with ensuring proper through ventilation. We inspect facias and soffits, as well as the structural components such as joists, rafters, and purlins. Finally, we evaluate gutters and drainage systems to ensure everything is functioning as it should.

COMMERCIAL SURVEY:

A roof survey report from Bees Roofing Ltd offers a comprehensive evaluation of your roof's state. The report includes high-resolution photographs that capture every detail of the survey, giving you a transparent view of any issues found. Furthermore, our reports present prioritized suggestions for maintenance and repairs, enabling you to plan efficiently. We also strive to make our reports straightforward and accessible

Water Ingress and Leaks: Damage from leaks can result in significant repair costs and operational delays. Conducting a roof survey can pinpoint potential sources of leaks, allowing for swift resolution of water ingress problems.

Ponding and Standing Water: Inadequate drainage systems or design flaws frequently lead to water accumulation on flat roofs. Surveys can identify these issues early, helping to avert long-term damage caused by stagnant water.

Wear and Tear: Continuous exposure to weather elements such as UV rays, rain, and wind can lead to gradual deterioration of your roof. Regular surveys can monitor and address these changes effectively over time.

Membrane Rips and Tears: Roof membranes can suffer from rips and tears for various reasons, including subpar installation. Surveys play a crucial role in detecting these issues early, facilitating prompt repairs.
