This project is prominently based in the historic city of St Albans, where the extensive works carried out included a comprehensive new roof installation as well as a chimney rebuild.

This particular client had recently completed the purchase of the property, but its previous state was unfortunately causing significant leaks throughout various areas of the house, leading to various concerns about the condition of the roof and interior spaces. To address these issues effectively, we carried out a thorough and detailed survey to evaluate the extent of works that were required for a comprehensive solution. We have installed a new breathable felt membrane, as well as timber batons for additional structural support, and we applied lime mortar to ensure that the chimney is well-sealed against any potential water ingress. Additionally, we added expertly crafted lead flashings to the chimney breast and expertly dressed the dormer in lead, significantly enhancing both the overall functionality and the visual aesthetics of the property.
